Make Up Inspiration

Well I have my make up trial coming up this Saturday and got together a few photos of my vision for the lady - I want soft and romantic but I definitely want drama with my eyes. I don't care for lipstick but a gloss would be great - I still want luscious looking, kissable lips lol.

Check Caterer - and other fun!

Well Dad came down for a visit this weekend and we were finally able to put our deposit down on the caterers! Woo Hoo that was a BIG CHECK!

Then June 7th is Hair Day!

I also received my chiffon veil in the mail today - I REALLY like it but its sooooo different from the other one - two very different looks... but it was awesome cause I cant even tell Im wearing it so I know Ill be comfortable in it all night :D

Paper Lanterns

Got a great deal on Craigslist this weekend ... was able to score a bunch of these awesome paper lanterns - the lady had stacked them vertically in 4's to make columns out of them LOVE IT!

Met with our DJ on Friday night and officially booked him. Im really happy with him and glad we opted to have DJ instead of an IPOD Wedding - he had tons of great ideas and hes made me feel much more confident that we and the guests are all gonna have a great time!

We also went for a cake sampling today and mmmmmm YUMMY! I cant wait, Jessica was awesome and yum in love with the chocolate chip mint cupcakes - tastes just like the icecream! She had some great ideas and even better prices! Im really looking forward to this - shes also going to be doing our sugar cookie favors Im so excited!!!

Veil Revised

Okay so I really like the veil that I got earlier... its really nice- but I found something that I think is more me and will go with my dress better! And Chiffon is such a nice flowy fabric and will drape nicely I think :)

Its a Chiffon veil - Im gettin it in Ivory at 38" length - I just placed the order so it should arrive by the time my dress gets here so I can try it all together I hope

Ordered the DRESS!

Its official the MORI LEE Dress will be mine! Myrna just ordered my dress in today and lucky me its on special for a QUICK ship so instead of the standard 3-4 month shipping time it will be here in 4 WEEKS! Im SOOO excited! Cant wait to get it fitted and try it on with shoes and veil! :D

Check out the awesome spider hair pins I found on ebay - I have been searching high and low for an nice piece of spider flare for my hair ATLAST!!!!!!!!!! so happy!

Our Flowers

So I think Ive found my flowers - I found this company that can do real touch (artificial) flower bouquets and they look amazing!

These are the styles im going with - only difference is my bouquet wont have any purple but it will have green grass added and Wills boutonniere will have one green orchid mixed with the cream.

This worked out to be MUCH cheaper then fresh flowers and Ill be able to keep my bouquet forever!

Finally I FOUND IT!
Its not at all what I envisioned but it feels good and it looks good and its the first dress that truly made me FEEL like a BRIDE! Id post a photo but we dont want Will to accidently see ;) All I will say its a Mori Lee Dress and I am goign to be albe to incorporate my spider necklace as a broach on it LOL ooooo the suspense!

So I FINALLY got a photo of the bridesmaid dress... of course she refused to take a photo of herself in it LOL but I got it none the less :)
We are going to add an apple green sash onto of the brown sash that is already there! I LOVE THEM!

Mongram - Revisted

LOL well seems like Will is not set on the monogram after all he saw one my original designs and likes me more cause it has the scottish feel to it... I played around with it and this is what I have... Im not sure now which one were going to use LOL

So after many designs and font choices we have finally settled on a monogram design we both love. Im VERY happy with it! :D

Martha Stewart and Flowers

I LOVE Martha Stewart LOL - she has inspired me so much.... I know fresh flowers are tons of money though we are going to be meeting witha florist next weekend to discuss. I know I want to use these wonderful crepe/tissue paper flowers in my wedding. I would like to use them to adorn my branches of my center pieces as well I may use them for my toss bouquet (undecided for sure on that yet) But how cute and CHEAP! ;)
As for Real Flowers Carnations are making a big comeback - not your poor mans flower anymore grouped together in a large tight cluster like this they like fabulous and easy on the pocket book!

Found another example of the buttons being used but this time as more of an embellishment then an entire bouquet Im still really taken with these!

Dress Shopping

Well I had a very successful day yesterday dress shopping. It gave me some new inspiration with the dress Im having custom made and the dress is taking on a whole new look YAY im so excited. I would post photos of me in the dress I was trying on... even though its going to be the exact same dress... I dont want Will peeking at any of my ideas LOL

Chair Covers

WOOO HOOOO - what a score... Im getting this off a lady on craigslist and yep thats right she used the same venue as me, Centennial Lodge! So I know the chair covers will fit perfectly! WOO HOO - this soooo beats renting them cause I can resell after and get some money back! :D

Hair Style

Think I found a hairstyle I like - now I just need to get a hole of Monet to set up an appointment to do a trial run thru ... Hopefully my veil gets here before then! :D

Veil

So I bought myself a veil off ebay yesterday - Dont even know If I want to wear one - I still want feathers in my hair but I thought for the price I should get one and atleast see what it looks like... lol! I love the length of this one (fingertip) its got two teirs and little jewels scattered all over it.

Night Before the Wedding

I told Will I want to spend the night before the wedding apart so it helps to build the anticipation for the wedding day. Also, I wanted to find a nice place for us to get ready at as we will have photos taken there while i get in my dress. Standard hotels are quiet boring and small for my taste so how happy was I to find this unique little gem

1920s style apartments fully furnished - how cute is this?! its close to the venue and cheap. I am a teeny bit worried about its proximity to the skttrain and noise while trying to sleep but I always sleep with earplugs in anyway lol.

I mentioned that the Groom and his guys would want to stay there to and she was like "oh we best put him on a different floor then you. We wouldnt want him to accidentally sneak a peek at you!" LOL too funny!

Favors

So I have been hunting for affordable ideas for guest favors and I think Ive come to a decision. Im going to make sugar COOKIES! They are personable and customizable and affordable.

Im thinking of doing something like these but in apple and bird shapes to fit my theme... thats if I cant find a kilt cookie cutter LOL - Im going to give a big oh thank you! to http://www.cakejournal.com where I have found a wonderful tutorial on how to make them.
